Your photo of a U.S. National Park location could appear on the Bing homepage
Photo buffs who have visited one or more of the 59 national parks run by the U.S. National Park Service will have a chance to have one of their images placed on the Bing search homepage. Microsoft has launched a contest that is designed to help celebrate the 100th anniversary of the park service.
Here's what the grand prize winner will receive:
- Your photo featured as the Bing homepage image in April during National Park Week
- Your photo featured as our cover photo on Facebook and Twitter for all of Earth Month
- A photo expedition for two including round trip travel provided by Alaska Airlines, and 3 nights of accommodations with destinations provided by park concessioners through the National Park Hospitality Association
- $500 in outdoor gear provided by Filson
Two runners-up will each receive $500 in Filson outdoor apparel gear, along with $250 in camera equipment from B&H Photo. You can go to the official Bing Facebook page for the official rules and to enter your photo for the contest. The participants must be residents of the U.S. and be 13 years of age or older to enter. The photos must be submitted by March 21. The general public will vote on their favorite photos from March 23-30 to select the winners.
