Xbox One S is getting a $50 price drop starting tomorrow
Just ahead of its Project Scorpio unveiling, Microsoft has announced a price cut on the current Xbox One S. Starting tomorrow, June 11, Xbox One S bundles will see a $50 price drop across the board.

For the base 500GB configurations, that'll bring the price down to $250. That's a solid move that matches the One S to the PS4 Slim's recent temporary price cut. It's not clear, however, whether the Xbox One S price drop is intended to be temporary or permanent.
All of this comes just ahead of Microsoft's June 11 E3 briefing, where we're expected to get a look at the price, name and final design of Project Scorpio, which will now sit at the top end of Microsoft's Xbox lineup. The briefing kicks off right away at 2 p.m. PT / 5 p.m. ET, and we'll bring you the latest as it unfolds.
