Xbox One game gifting goes live for Xbox Insiders today, everyone else later
Xbox platform CVP Mike Ybarra just revealed that Xbox store game gifting is going live to Xbox Insiders today, before rolling out more broadly to the general public in the future.
Since the Xbox One launched, people have been requesting the ability to buy and send gifts to their friends. Finally, Microsoft has delivered. Game gifting will go live on the Xbox Insider Program today, presumably for the Alpha Ring.

At Microsoft's earnings call, the Redmond company announced Xbox Live digital sales had increased, despite a pre-Xbox One X lull in hardware sales. Without a doubt, digital game gifting will be a big driver of commerce for Microsoft over the holiday period, finally matching Steam on purchasing features.
