Xbox Live multiplayer is going free for everyone this weekend
Xbox Live will let you play online with others for free this weekend.
If you don't subscribe to Xbox Live Gold, Microsoft will still let you play with friends this weekend. Running from October 6 through October 9, Xbox Live multiplayer will be open and available to every Xbox games on Xbox One and Xbox 360.
If you're an avid gamer, you've probably got plenty of games on hand that have some sort of online component. In case you don't however, this free online weekend lines up nicely with the Star Wars Battlefront 2 open beta, which just opened up to everyone and runs throughout the same time period. That's likely not a coincidence, and it offers up a solid experience to check out Xbox Live multiplayer.
