Xbox Games with Gold for July include Conker: Live and Reloaded and Planet Alpha
Led by a blast from the past.
What you need to know
- Xbox Games with Gold gives players a few free games each month as part of their Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
- For July 2021, Xbox is offering four games: Planet Alpha, Rock of Ages 3: Make and Break, Conker: Live and Reloaded and finally, Midway Arcade Origins.
- Many Xbox players continue to call for improvements to Xbox Live Gold, such as better free games, or a removal of the service altogether.
Microsoft unveiled the monthly lineup of titles being offered with Xbox Games with Gold today via Xbox Wire. The standout is easily Conker: Live and Reloaded, a crass adventure from the developers at Rare since before the team was ever part of Xbox Game Studios. The other games being offered are Planet Alpha, Rock of Ages 3: Make and Break and Midway Arcade Origins.
Xbox Game Pass continues to be the main focus for Microsoft's monthly offering, with the games offered through Games with Gold being notably older. Xbox Live Gold has seen changes this year, with the service no longer being required in order to enjoy free-to-play multiplayer titles online.
Xbox Live Gold is bundled into Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which also includes Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Game Pass for PC, EA Play and Xbox Cloud Gaming. Xbox Cloud Gaming recently expanded, with a browser-based option now available on Windows 10 and Apple devices, with 1080p 60 FPS streaming available now that the server blades are powered by Xbox Series X hardware.
All your gaming needs, in one subscription.
Is the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate the best value in all of gaming? It's possible. Ultimate bundles your Xbox Live Gold subscription, an Xbox Game Pass subscription for both Xbox consoles and Windows PCs, and Xbox Cloud Gaming for on-the-go. That means access to hundreds of games, with more added all the time, for a single monthly subscription cost.
