As July draws to a close, it's time for the next round of free Xbox games. Microsoft has taken the wraps off the Xbox Games with Gold for Aug. 2021, and the selection may actually be pretty solid for players, especially action-RPG fans. The four free games offered to Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers every month are often met with disappointment due to a dwindling overall quality, often accused of being driven by a new focus on the superior value service: Xbox Game Pass.

Still, players can add up to four new games to their library every single month just for being subscribed to Xbox Live Gold, and the selection for Aug. has been revealed.

The Xbox Games with Gold for Aug. 2021 are reportedly worth a combined $130 in value and 3,200 in Gamerscore. Players can redeem Lost Planet 3 from Aug. 1 to Aug. 15, Darksiders III from Aug. 1 to Aug. 31, Garou: Mark of the Wolves from Aug. 16 to Aug. 31, and Yooka-Laylee from Aug. 16 to Sept. 15.
