Check out this shot of some Surface Book prototypes
Microsoft's Ralf Groene, the head of design for its hardware division, posted up an image showing various prototypes that were made for the company's Surface Book notebook.
Groene posted the image on his Instagram account without further comment. It clearly shows some of the early attempts at the Surface Book's fulcrum hinge, which is one of the signature features of Microsoft's 2-in-1 notebook. As we reported earlier today, our sources have told us that the next version of the Surface Book that Groene and his team are working on has a different hinge design that will allow its display and keyboard to be flush when the notebook is closed.
What do you think of this look into the Surface Book's earlier designs? Let us know in the comments.
