Verizon's prepaid plans getting more data at no extra cost

Verizon Wireless has announced that it is increasing the data offered on its prepaid phone plans. The carrier's $45 per month plan now features 2GB of data, up from 1GB, while the $60 plan has gone from 3GB to 5GB.

Both of these plans also feature unlimted talk and text. You can still add more data if you need it, with $5 more a month netting you an extra 500MB for 30 days, while $10 and $20 get you 1GB or 3GB, respectively, with that data lasting for 90 days.

Verizon also offers additional prepaid data when you sign up for automatic payments. Customers on the $45 plan getting 3GB total, and $60 plan customers getting a total of 6GB.
