Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 already saw some leadership shakeups and a delay out of 2020 last year. Now, publisher Paradox Interactive confirmed today that Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 is being delayed out of 2021. Additionally, Hardsuit Labs will no longer be leading the development of the game. You can read the full statement from Paradox Interactive below.

As a result of this major change, no new preorders are being accepted for the time being and there isn't a new release window for the time being. There's also no mention of which studio will now be leading development on the game or if Hardsuit Labs will be staying on in a support capacity. Paradox Interactive owns a minority stake in Hardsuit Labs, in the form of around 33% of the company.

Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 is a sequel to the cult classic 2004 title, Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines. The setting has changed from Santa Monica to Seattle, with the story revolving around an act of terrorism that creates a massive group of new "Thin Blood" vampires. As one of these Thin Bloods, the player must discern which faction to ally with and use dark powers and skills to navigate the treacherous World of Darkness.

Whenever Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 does release, it'll be available on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PC, PS5 and PS4.
