More orders are coming in the near future.
What you need to know
- Valve is increasing Steam Deck production, with more emails going out to anyone with reservations every week.

- Shipments of Steam Deck units are now rolling out for anyone with an estimated order availability of Q2 2022.
Anyone with a Steam Deck reservation may be starting to get their shipment soon, as Valve is starting to increase its rollout.
Valve shared via Twitter on Monday that Steam Deck production is being increased, with new emails being sent out to people with reservations in the Q2 estimated delivery range. These emails are being sent out in the order that the reservations were originally made. Additionally, Valve will be sending out additional emails when for availability weekly, or sometimes even twice a year.
Anyone with an estimated Q3 2022 release window for their order will likely be waiting a while longer, with Valve's current estimates stating that Q3 orders will be shipping out in October 2022 or later.
The Steam Deck packs beefy specs for a handheld device, comfortably playing lots of more modern PC games, albeit at reduced resolutions, framerates and overall settings when compared to dedicated gaming rigs. In our Steam Deck review, we noted that while there are kinks to be ironed out and issues to be fixed, overall "Valve's bold venture into the portable gaming space has made a stellar first impression."
