Twitter update rolling out with fix for broken direct messages
A fresh update for the Twitter app for Windows 10 PC and Mobile is now rolling out, and it brings along a fix for a rather frustrating issue with direct messages (DMs). If you've been unable to send a DM through the Twitter app recently, this update should fix that.
For a bit of background, DMs in the Twitter app for Windows seemed to break recently, preventing many users from sending messages in the app. There was no clear reason for the problem, nor was it clear how many people were affected. Still, it was pretty frustrating for anyone who does most of their Twittering from the Windows app.
We've seen the update land on both Mobile and PC, knocking the app up from version 5.5.1 to 5.6.1. It may still be gradually rolling out, but you should be able to grab the latest version from the Windows Store now.
