Turtle Beach announces new XO Three headset for Xbox One
Headset maker Turtle Beach has taken the wraps off of its latest licensed headset for the Xbox One, the XO Three. Set to arrive at retailers this July, the XO Three packs virtual surround sound via Windows Sonic for Headphones, 50mm speakers, and a high-sensitivity mic.
Turtle Beach is placing quite a bit of emphasis on the design and comfort of the XO Three. And while we'll have to wait to judge the fit for ourselves, the frame and amount of padding look like they'll hold up for long gaming sessions. Aside from its 50mm speakers, the headset also has in-line volume and mic mute controls. Further, the virtual surround sound should work across both Xbox One and Windows 10.
The XO Three is due in July for $70 alongside the RECON 150, which is essentially the same headset without Xbox flourishes. If that's a little rich for your blood, Turtle Beach's much cheaper Recon Chat is available now at Amazon.
