Your phone can control this dimmable Kasa Smart Bulb on sale for $13

For less than $15, you can make your home a bit smarter with TP-Link's Kasa KL110 Smart Wi-Fi Light Bulb. This dimmable smart bulb just dropped to $12.99 at Amazon, saving you more than $6 off its average cost there; earlier this year, it was selling for as much as $25.

Unlike other smart bulbs, this option doesn't require you to purchase a separate hub or other equipment to get everything set up. As long as you have a smartphone and a Wi-Fi connection at home, you can begin using it easily. Using the Kasa Smart app on your phone will allow you to control this bulb from anywhere in the world and schedule when you want it to turn off and on. You'll be able to check whether you left the light on while you're at work or turn it off while you stay bundled up underneath your covers before going to sleep.

If you happen to have a device like the Amazon Echo Dot or Google Home Mini at home, you can even begin voice controlling the bulb with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.
