Probably the best game ever
Minecraft is the best-selling game ever, and for a good reason. It gives you the keys to an infinite blocky world in which you can build essentially anything that pops into your mind. Play it alone or play it with friends; you're going to have a great time.

A safe place, with a touch of variety
A great seed to start off with if you want to take it slow, but don't want to handicap yourself with a monotonous world. You spawn in a lush forest surrounded by plains and a variety of other biomes, with a deep and rich cave pretty much directly below you to mine for resources in comfort.
There are no villages nearby, but sometimes you don't need the stress that comes with having to protect and defend a village from the frighteningly large number of enemies that they have. This is an excellent option if you just want to build in peace, but not be limited by the resources or areas you have access to.

A vast ocean on one side, a treacherous landscape on the other
You awaken on an island surrounded on all sides by water (gasp). In one direction the ocean stretches out for eternity (or until Minecraft generates more terrain in that direction); in another, you spot mountains looming eerily in the distance, stretching out into the sky; on another, much larger island split in half by a menacing ravine dominates the landscape.
This is a seed if you want to take on nature headfirst. Survive with nothing but your wits and whatever wood you can punch out of a tree. Don't expect any help or haven from any villages. You're on your own here, bud.

A lovely village with some bewildering surroundings
Want something a bit weird? Still want all of the basics? Don't want to compromise on your variety and still want to be surprised? You're really picky, but we still have something for you. Enter a beautiful village, with waterfront property and gorgeous forests and mountains surrounding it.
Look closer. Realize the taiga biome that surrounds it is for some reason half dirt (sans grass), half clay, half...cobblestone plus signs? Yeah, we're not entirely certain what happened with Minecraft's generator here either. Still, it's infinitely amusing and is the exact kind of thing that leads to some interesting theories and rumors in the Minecraft community.

Multiple villages, varied biomes
This is one of my favorite seeds to start out on for any type of playthrough. From the spawn point, you're in close proximity to multiple villages in varied biomes, including acacia, plains, desert, mushroom forest, standard forest, and mountain. There's nothing particularly unique about this seed, but it's ideal if you like building varied structures in close proximity but in different biomes.
There's enough space to create a sprawling metropolis that incorporates all the unique villages, yet it has the topography needed for creative and multi-level builds. Scope out the surrounding area, and you'll no doubt find a deep ravine and an ocean that goes on for who knows how long.

Village cut with ravine, raid the stronghold
This is an excellent seed if you like to immediately make friends with some villagers, but it's not just a village awaiting your arrival. Through the middle cuts, a deep ravine full of valuable natural resources and open mineshafts extending into the abyss.
Want to get in on some PvE action fast? One of the ravine's walls is the start of a stronghold (actually the library crammed with bookshelves), which you can raid to find valuables like spell books, ender pearls, and much, much more.

Take your chances on a deserted island
Wake up on a deserted island home to sea turtles, a deep cave full of monsters, a few trees, and not much else. It's up to you to sail or swim to the small surrounding isles where you might have a better chance of finding valuables that will help you get to the end game.
If you prefer a challenge and are tired of the usual seeds where you can walk anywhere and set up shop, this is a great alternative that will test just how creative you can be. Be sure to check out the ice floes nearby the spawn island.

An outpost among villages
If you're interested in checking out what pillager outposts can do to a village, you'll no doubt want to check out this seed. You spawn north of where all the action is, and by traveling a short distance from the mesa biome you spawn in down to the icy spikes, you will see an outpost and three nearby villages.
Knock down the outpost captain, get your Bad Omen effect, and head to a village to spawn a raid. An absolutely awesome seed if you're getting back into Minecraft after a couple of significant updates, and the varied vista isn't bad either.

Deep ravine, desert temple, multiple villages
Spawn in next to a desert temple that can be raided immediately — watch you don't set off the TNT hiding in the chest room — and set out to find two villages practically on top of each other, yet in different biomes.
If you're one for exploring deep spaces without the need for a pickaxe, there's also a deep, branching ravine full of water and lava between the villages and desert temple. It's a great place to start harvesting obsidian and all kinds of other natural resources without much effort.

Desert village with outpost nearby
This seeds drops you into the desert near a sprawling village that borders onto a knockout ravine full of lava and water. Surrounding the area are some low hills and another large village on the steppes of some larger mountains.
Nearby in the desert is a pillager outpost that keeps watch on the comings and goings, and you can be certain you'll soon hear from the inhabitants, especially if you eliminate the pillager captain and head back to one of the villages. Watch out for the raiding party!
Seed: 2048971879
Wetland trading and pillaging
The lowlands you spawn into consist of a desert, hill, and forest biomes, stitched together with long, meandering rivers and buttes with high waterfalls you can use to build amazing castles and manors.
The area also happens to be packed with villages, temples, and an outpost smack in the middle, so you can be sure there are lots of things to do when you're not building bridges and lookout towers to keep an eye on trade and pillaging.

A bustling life in the woods
If you prefer to build your masterpiece in the woods, this seed should no doubt feel right at home. You spawn into thick trees that break onto a small plain that holds multiple villages and a tall outpost casting its shadow over the valley.
In the center of the clearing is a massive ravine stocked with easy-to-access valuable resources. To the north is the start of some impressive mountains spewing lava, as well as more villages nestled in the hills. Definitely check this one out if you prefer avoiding deserts and want to live green.

Mushrooms and shipwrecks
This sprawling mushroom island is home to mushroom trees and mushroom cows, and the mainland is easily accessible if you need some familiar scenery. If you head into the water, though, you'll quickly find a shipwreck's mast poking its head out of the water, letting you know there's treasure to be found.
If that's not enough, on your way to the shipwreck, you should see the lights from an underwater monument where you can harvest prismarine and sponges. This is an excellent seed if you want to test out your water breathing potions.
Seed: 992826707
A little bit of everything
This seed drops you into the middle of multiple villages in different biomes, with the closest to spawn sitting above an absolutely sprawling cave system accessed by an open pit next to a walkway.
Head out over land, and you'll soon come across other villages, a nearby pillager outpost, and a woodland mansion, all within view of each other. If you'd like a little taste of some rarities, this is an ideal seed.
