Tiny Tina's Wonderlands brings the Borderlands universe back next March
A new Borderlands adventure awaits.
What you need to know
- Tiny Tina's Wonderlands will release on March 25, 2022.
- A spin-off from the main Borderlands series, Wonderlands stars Tiny Tina and a new cast of characters in a game of Bunkers & Badasses.
- This will be the first game in the series that allows players to customize their own character.
During today's big PlayStation Showcase, 2K revealed a new trailer for Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, the upcoming looter-shooter that stars the titular character in Bunkers & Badasses, an in-game version of Dungeons & Dragons. It was also announced that it's expected to release on March 25, 2022.
Tiny Tina's Wonderlands takes the Borderlands formula fans know and love and combines it with fantasy elements to mix up the gameplay. In addition to millions of guns, players will have access to spells. It will also feature melee weapons, amulets, and armor, which previously wasn't included in prior Borderlands games.
The story is being mostly kept under wraps, but it has a star-studded cast to get us through it. Andy Samberg, Wanda Sykes, and Will Arnett will all play parts in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. What we do know is that the story will take place after Assault on Dragon Keep, Borderlands 2's popular DLC.
Gearbox is hoping to release Tiny Tina's Wonderlands on March 25, 2022 for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. Hopefully we'll end up calling it one of the best Xbox games soon because Gearbox hasn't really missed with a Borderlands game yet.
Borderlands 3 previously releases in September 2019 and is going to have some anniversary content coming up soon. It was the biggest Borderlands game to date, and though Wonderlands may not hit quite that level, it looks to be an exciting time.
