Flipkart is offering a "Back to School" promotion where the retailer is discounting several notebooks, external hard drives, networking hardware — including Wi-Fi ac routers — and other accessories.

Flipkart has rolled out its universal app to all users with an update, introducing a new user interface with a slide-out hamburger menu, Ping shopping assistant, quick sharing options, and more.

Ping brings collaboration to your shopping experience, and integrates a social layer to avoid constant exchanging of links or screenshots when buying together or asking for advice or approval.

Looks like the beta version of the app has hit the Windows Store, and is available for anyone to download on Windows 10 devices – mobile and PC.

The latest update bumps the version to 3.0.0.0, and the reengineered app offers significant performance improvements and bug fixes with a refreshed design and navigation.

Flipkart, the major online retailer in India, will begin to sell Microsoft's Xbox One console starting on Saturday, October 17. The console was previously available online in India only via Amazon.

Flipkart now allows you to search using images. All you need to do is take an image of the item you're looking to accessorize, and the service finds matching products based on the color scheme.
