It's almost here!
What you need to know
- The Surge 2 is an upcoming action game from Deck13 Interactive and Focus Home Interactive.
- The launch trailer for The Surge 2 shows off some of your deadly moves.
- The game is currently set to release on September 24 for Xbox One and other platforms.
- You can preorder The Surge 2 for $60 from Amazon.
The Surge 2 is around the corner and publisher Focus Home Interactive keeps on releasing new footage from the action game. For those unfamiliar with the title, it's a lot like Dark Souls, but set in the future where exoskeletons and deadly viruses shape the world.
According to the developer, Deck13 Interactive, The Surge 2 continues to utilize the franchise's signature limb-targeting system, allowing you to rip and tear equipment from your foes using brutal executions.
As the game is launching on September 24, the teams released the long-awaited launch trailer. I have to say, it doesn't disappoint. The footage showcases the various creatures, as well as the weapons and armor you can equip. The music is also spot on. You'll just have to watch it to discover why I love it so much!
You can purchase The Surge for $60 through Amazon or the Microsoft Store. There will be expansions, but they can be bought separately because there doesn't appear to be a season pass at the moment. Luckily, the game is Xbox One X Enhanced and features a 60 frames per second mode on the console.
Enter a brutal world
The Surge 2 takes everything players loved about the first game and ramps it up to an eleven. With even more brutal combat, deadly foes, hostile environments and ways to upgrade, welcome to a horrifying future.
