Surface Pro with LTE picks up first batch of firmware updates
The Surface Pro with LTE Advanced is getting its first batch of firmware updates.
On December 1, Microsoft finally launched the long-awaited Surface Pro with LTE Advanced for business customers. Now, the tech giant is shipping out the first round of firmware updates to the device (via Neowin).
Most of the updates are concerned with improvements to the GPS, but there is a more general system stability update included as well. Here's a look at what's new:
- Surface GPS – System devices: 12.7.2.913 improves system stability.
- Surface GPS Multiplexer – System devices: 23.34.28.226 improves system stability.
- Surface GPS USB Multiplexer – System devices: 23.4.3.717 improves system stability.
- Surface UEFI - Firmware: 233.1903.770.0 improves system stability.
Again, these updates don't apply to the standard Surface Pro model without LTE. However, anyone that has their hands on an LTE model should be able to download the latest firmware from Windows Update now. And for business customers that are interested in picking one up, the LTE model is up for grabs at Insight.
