Surface Go now available in the U.S. and Canada
Surface Go is a go in the U.S. and Canada.
Following its debut in July, Microsoft's latest Surface, the Surface Go, is now on sale in the U.S. and Canada. If you preordered a Surface Go, your shipment should be on its way, and the device is also available in stores now with prices starting at $399.
Surface Go is the most budget-conscious and portable option in the Surface lineup, setting its sights firmly on students and the enterprise market, along with anyone looking for a premium budget tablet in general. The device's form factor is similar to the Surface Pro, featuring a kickstand, Surface Pen support, and a detachable keyboard. However, the screen is quite a bit smaller at 10 inches with an 1800x1200 resolution.
Powering the device is an Intel Pentium Gold 4415Y processor at 1.6GHz and Intel HD 615 graphics. That's rounded out by up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. There's also a 5MP camera up front and an 8MP shooter on the rear, and Windows Hello support is on board for quick logins.
If you live in the U.S. or Canada, Surface Go is available starting today at the Microsoft Store, Best Buy, and other retailers starting at $399. Another 23 markets around the world are scheduled to get the device starting on August 23, with others to follow in September in October. And if you're still on the fence, be sure to give our full Surface Go review a look.
