Pete Kyriacou, VP, Microsoft Devices, outlines the year that lies in store for the Surface Duo in a new blog post. The biggest news of Kyriacou's post is that the Surface Duo will officially become available in more markets next year. Specifically, the Surface Duo will ship to the UK, Canada, France, and Germany in "early 2021."
Kyriacou's post lines up with our previous report, which states that the Surface Duo will roll out to a handful of more markets in February 2021. Microsoft has taken a measured approach to the release of the Surface Duo since its initial launch in August of this year, and it appears that the company is continuing along that course with the device's international launch.
Alongside the announcement of upcoming availability in more markets, Kyriacou highlights some of the achievements of the Surface Duo. The Surface Duo was honored as one of TIME's best inventions of 2020. Kyriacou also highlights that people have used the Surface Duo and its unique form factor in many ways, including building their own App Groups for better multitasking.
