The SteelSeries Apex 7 mechanical keyboard has dropped to $140 for the first time

The SteelSeries Apex 7 mechanical gaming keyboard is down to $139.99 on Amazon. This is a price match of the same deal going on at Best Buy. The keyboard usually sells for $160 flat, and it hasn't dropped much from that price since it released earlier this year. This is the first price drop we've seen from Amazon, actually, which also makes this a new low. This deal only applies to the Red switches as the Brown and Blue versions of the keyboard are still selling at a regular price above $156.

The Apex 7 uses an OLD smart display, which works as a sort of integrated command center. You can use it to adjust your settings and tracking on-the-fly, even while playing games or doing other work. You can get updates straight from programs like Spotify, Discord, and others.

You'll also get a lot of durability with the keyboard. It's made from aircraft-grade aluminum alloy and built to last a lifetime. The keyboard even comes with a premium magnetic wrist rest so your wrists will last a lifetime. You get full palm support and a comfortable, ergonomic feel.

The lighting includes dynamic per-key RGB illumination, giving you a full spectrum of lighting options. It even has different modes, like a reactive typing effect that will change colors as you click and clack. With all the customization options, you'll be able to save five on-board profiles. These are unique profiles kept on the keyboard so you can switch from game-to-game based on what macros or lighting you want/need.

As a mechanical keyboard, the Apex 7 is powered by Gateron Red mechanical switches. These are durable and last for up to 50 million keystrokes. They also provide linear, smooth movement with no bump and a lightning fast actuation. Users give this keyboard 4.6 stars out of 5 based on 143 reviews.
