State of Decay 2 now available for Xbox One and Windows 10
It's time to live out the zombie apocalypse.
State of Decay 2, the long-awaited follow-up to 2013's first game in the series, is now available for Xbox One and Windows 10. The game is available to purchase at $29.99 as an Xbox Play Anywhere title, which allows you to play it on both platforms, or as part of Microsoft's $9.99 per month Xbox Game Pass subscription program.
Developed by Undead Labs and published by Microsoft Studios, State of Decay 2 puts players in the middle of a zombie apocalypse, forcing them to survive the undead and other survivors alike. The game is a co-op multiplayer experience, encouraging players to work together, build bases, and form communities in order to survive the trials of the world around them. The first game in the series garnered a loyal following, despite some performance issues. And, from what we've seen so far, State of Decay 2 builds on the same pieces of the original that made it great, while shunning some of its weaker points.
If the zombie apocalypse setting and survival elements sound like they're up your alley, you can pick up State of Decay 2 as a single purchase for Xbox One and Windows 10 now for $29.99. Alternatively, you can get unlimited access to the game and hundreds of others via Xbox Game Pass for $9.99 per month. Just keep in mind that, if you go with a physical purchase, you will miss out on the Xbox Play Anywhere capabilities, as is the case with other titles.
