We can finally play together.
What you need to know
- Stardew Valley is a farming game which features a lot of different mechanics.
- It's getting multiplayer support on Xbox One in the coming weeks.
- The patch was originally supposed to launch in 2018.
- You can purchase the game for $15 through the Microsoft Store.
Stardew Valley is an incredibly popular farming game which features exploration, combat, and fishing mechanics. While planting crops and raising animals is always fun on your own, players have been asking the developer, "ConcernedApe," to add multiplayer for quite some time now.
Last year, ConcernedApe said that multiplayer was coming to Stardew Valley in 2018. Unfortunately, we didn't hear more about when the feature would come to Xbox One. However, that changed this week. The developer just said that the multiplayer patches are in certification for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and should launch soon. Usually, this takes a couple of weeks. The news was first reported by TrueAchievements.
Hi everyone, I want to apologize for not being more frequent w/ updates about the state of the console multiplayer. XBOX/PS4 are both in certification, I've been told there are just a few fixes and then they can release. Stardew Valley is all about living the farm life. You can read the description below.
The multiplayer update brings a lot of new features to the game. One of the most significant additions has to be the ability to get married and divorced. However, this doesn't mean that the existing romance options will disappear. You can still romance computer-controlled characters. We'll keep you posted as soon as we receive a concrete release date.
