Star Wars Battlefront II gets The Last Jedi season and single-player expansion
Today, EA released the first free season of Star Wars Battlefront II in which players receive Star Wars: The Last Jedi content.
Finn joins the battle as a playable hero for the Resistance while Captain Phasma is playable as a new villain leading the First Order. Both characters can be unlocked without credits by simply logging in during the season. The free update also adds new locations. The Battle on Crait is a new Galactic Assault match and D'Qar is a small, intense Starfighter Assault arena.
That's not all though: In The Last Jedi season, players must choose to fight for the Resistance or the First Order. According to EA, this choice will be linked to recurring Challenges that rewards players on both the individual and faction levels.
A small single-player expansion is also available for free with The Last Jedi season. In Star Wars Battlefront II: Resurrection, gamers can continue Iden Versio's journey through the First Order's rise to power. Taking place after completion of the single-player campaign, Iden returns to search for answers in three new chapters. In her pursuit, she uncovers secrets of the First Order, which lead to the events of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
In Star Wars Battlefront II, you embark on an action experience in the acclaimed universe. Iconic characters like Darth Maul, Han Solo, and Kylo Ren make an appearance in this game and there are plenty of other surprises across its campaign and multiplayer modes. The title is currently available on Xbox One, Windows PC, and PlayStation 4. The game also achieves native 4K resolution on Xbox One X.
