Star Wars Battlefront 2 single-player trailer teases the tense battle to come
Peek into the struggle to come with Star Wars Battlefront 2's new single-player trailer.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 is positioned to improve on its predecessor in a number of ways, but one major highlight is its new single-player campaign mode — something that was missing from the original. So far, we've seen teases here and there of what to expect, but a new single-player trailer gives us a deeper look at what to expect ahead of the game's launch — including a glimpse of some pretty important faces from the Star Wars universe. Check out the trailer above.
To recap, the single-player campaign in Star Wars Battlefront 2 is set to explore just some of what happened to the remains of the Empire after the second Death Star was destroyed, killing the Emperor in the process, at the end of Return of the Jedi. We follow Iden Versio, who leads an Imperial special forces group known as Inferno Squad. Left with seemingly nothing after the Death Star's destruction, Inferno Squad embarks on a mission to strike back at the Rebellion, thus kicking off the main story content of Star Wars Battlefront 2.
The trailer certainly sets the tone for the story to come, and we even get a look at some pretty important characters and places from the Star Wars universe throughout. There will still be plenty of mysteries to uncover when Star Wars Battlefront 2 launches on November 17, however.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 is up for preorder now for $59.99 on Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4.
