Well, that settles it. Some players are receiving the Jungle Awakens DLC earlier than others, but the release appears to be accidental. If you haven't gotten Jungle Awakens yet, don't worry, the update is still set to release officially on all platforms starting tomorrow. A lucky few will get a few hours head start, but it won't stop everyone from being able to have fun together tomorrow.
It looks like the latest update and Jungle Awakens DLC have gone out a bit early on some platforms! If you aren’t seeing the update yet, this is normal. The latest update will officially launch on ALL Dungeons supported platforms on June 30 10am PDT / July 1 5am UTC. In a surprise move, it looks like Jungle Awakens is releasing to the world a whole day earlier than planned! Reports that the DLC update was appearing started trickling onto Twitter, and our own Jez Corden confirmed that he is seeing and has downloaded the DLC on his end. There's been no word from Mojang Studios about the early release, but interested players should go check right away and see if they already got the update as well.
Jungle Awakens is the first major update for Minecraft Dungeons, and adds a sleugh of new content including levels, mobs, gear, items, and more. There's no shortage of new fun to uncover here, and we'll be hard at work bringing you all the best we can find. Early impressions show that the Jungle Awakens levels are incredibly detailed, with beautifully rendered foliage and environments, so we're very excited to see what a couple extra months of development has done for Minecraft Dungeons.
There's also a new Lost Temple dungeon that's being added to the game as part of Jungle Awakens, but is available for free to all players, so even if you don't have the Hero Edition or Hero Pass, you can still jump into an exciting new area and see what all the fuss is about. We'll keep you posted the moment we learn more, but in the meantime, welcome to the Jungle.
Minecraft explores the dungeons.
Minecraft Dungeons is the next saga in Minecraft's story, and Mojang Studios have knocked another one out of the park. Awesome co-op combat paired with powerful loot, all at a crazy affordable price? There's not much more you could ask for in an epic dungeon crawling ARPG.
