SMS Tracking for UPS

Folks in the Philippines sure do love their SMS - whether they're using it to organize protest rallies or trying to prevent a text-tax. So it makes sense that a country with this much SMS-usage is the place where UPS is rolling out a new SMS-based service. They're using it for basic package tracking - no silly internet widgets necessary.
“The Philippines is one of the leading countries when it comes to mobile phone usage, especially when it comes to ‘texting’ or sending messages via SMS,” said Tim Gohoc, Managing Director of UPS Philippines. “It is natural that we extend UPS’s tracking service via this powerful and convenient tool to our customers, and offer them peace of mind when they know where their packages are.”
