Have you ever thought about what it'd be like to be a shark? Well, now you don't have to because there's a shark simulator of sorts coming to Xbox One on May 22. Maneater is basically about eating your way to the top. It's a lot like Hungry Shark World from Ubisoft, but it's much more in-depth and looks a billion times better than the mobile game.

Today, developer Tripwire Interactive released a launch trailer for the game. As expected, it's suitably bizarre given the subject matter of the game.

Experience the ultimate power fantasy as the apex predator of the seas. Maneater is a single-player, open-world action role-playing game where you are the shark. Starting as a small shark, you are tasked with surviving the harsh world while eating your way up the ecosystem. To do this you will explore a large and varied open world encountering diverse enemies, both human and wildlife. Find the right resources and you can grow and evolve far beyond what nature intended.

The Maneater team confirmed that, for Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro owners, Maneater runs at 4K no matter what TV you're on. This will provide some enhanced image quality on a 1080p TV due to supersampling.
