Shadow of the Tomb Raider trailer with dogs and cats is the best thing ever
Why can't the actual game be like this?
Shadow of the Tomb Raider is the conclusion to Lara Croft's origin story. Lara must master a deadly jungle, overcome terrifying tombs, and persevere through her darkest hour. As she races to save the world from a Mayan apocalypse, Lara will ultimately be forged into the Tomb Raider she is destined to be.
Recently, it was National Dog Day and Square Enix decided to mark the event by releasing a new Shadow of the Tomb Raider trailer. However, instead of featuring Lara Croft, and humans, it features dogs and cats. It's essentially a recreation of the reveal trailer except Lara Croft is being played by a dog, and enemy combatants are being played by cats. Instead of dispatching foes through violence, "Dog Croft" uses tools like a Roomba vacuum and laser pointer.
The trailer is quite possibly one of the cutest, and funniest things we've ever seen. Now we kind of want a Tomb Raider game that just features just dogs and cats... or maybe a hidden minigame inside Shadow of the Tomb Raider? Are you listening, Square Enix?
Shadow of the Tomb Raider is currently available for preorder at various retailers like Amazon or the Microsoft Store. The game should launch on Xbox One and other platforms on September 14, 2018, starting at $59.99. The title runs at native 4K resolution on Xbox One X, but also features a 1080p 60 FPS mode.
