Sea of Thieves unearths an ancient evil with upcoming DLC
Sea of Thieves is going down a dark, but humorous, path with its next two DLC packs.
On stage at its E3 2018 presentation, Microsoft offered a tease at what's coming next for Sea of Thieves. And things are starting to look a little bleak – but not without a little humor thrown in.
Two upcoming DLC packs are on the horizon, titled "Cursed Sails" and "Forsaken Shores." Players can look forward to taking on skeleton crews while sailing around the game's world, along with some hellish new lands to explore.
Cursed Sails is set to launch in July, while Forsaken Shores will hit in September.
Since its launch earlier in 2018, Sea of Thieves has crossed four million players and launched its first DLC pack, The Hungering Deep. The game is available to play as part of the $9.99 per month Xbox Game Pass subscription, or on its own for $59.99 (though it's currently on sale for $29.99 at Amazon with Xbox Play Anywhere support. And if you have an Xbox One X, the game is enhanced to run in 4K.
