Sea of Thieves 'Tall Tales' offer story-driven quests for all players
Sea of Thieves should appeal to even more gamers now.
A few weeks ago, Microsoft revealed that Sea of Thieves was getting a massive "Anniversary Update" which added single-player stories, fishing, harpoons, cooking, and much more. However, the company didn't provide more details about exactly what to expect from the single-player content until now.
According to Rare, Tall Tales: Shores of Gold is a set of narrative-driven quests that make up a larger story set in the game's shared world. The campaign is made up of nine distinct Tall Tales that set players on a quest to reach the Shores of Gold, a legendary location filled with untold riches. Along the way, pirates will decipher and solve puzzles, interact with a host of voiced characters, and battle with fearsome enemies.
The team added that each tale can be experienced repeatedly, with solutions featuring variable locations and opportunities. So, if you want to keep on grinding for that loot, you won't have to repeat the same exact steps each time. While some may be disappointed by this, it keeps a game feeling fresh.
Sea of Thieves is available on Amazon at a discounted price, but it's also a part of Xbox Game Pass. You can subscribe to the service for $1 at the moment through the Microsoft Store.
