Scoopt launches first on Windows Phone; a beautiful experience for fashion followers
Scoopt is finally here. But what exactly am I talking about?
If you're a massive fan of fashion and enjoy keeping up-to-date with the latest and greatest pieces of kit, you'll definitely want to check out this new app. Scoopt targets UK consumers and is essentially a fashion magazine for Windows Phone, but with an added twist that you can actually purchase products. What's more is that the team behind the app has exclusively launched on Windows Phone, with iOS and Android apps on the way.
Seven fashion labels have been added at launch from the UK, Milan and Barcelona. These include AQ/AQ, Ede, Glassing, Jock Fairweather, Paisie, Tina Lilienthal and Zuzunaga. Three more labels are currently in the progress in joining so it's an ever-growing catalogue of fashion. I mentioned you can buy from independent fashion labels, correct? That's because you can, but it's not a standard basket ecommerce system you're used to on the web and beyond. You can add items to a cart and checkout, or hold off until said product comes down in price.
Want to view the content and nothing else? Scoopt has you covered.
Scoopt not only enables consumers to purchase products from the labels, but you can also remain up-to-date with new items. As well as the main shop, you also have the latest from other Scoopt users. This stream can display photos, updates and also sweet deals that are located when out and about. You can add your own favourite places, which will be displayed on your profile for followers and other users to see. It's possible to follow (and be followed by) other users, much like Twitter.
Updates from people nearby are also available in a separate stream. There's an important emphasis on community in Scoopt and it's referred to as the "Fashion Facebook." It's an interesting app to launch on Windows Phone since we're not really looking at a full-blown niche here. The majority of consumers are rather fashionable and enjoy looking at the latest gear and whatnot. Couple this requirement with an app on the Windows Phone platform and you get Scoopt.

The Scoopt team plan to have all apps available before the upcoming London Fashion Week. Better still, the interface of Scoopt is outstanding and the team has done a superb job with the layout and have made the app a worthwhile experience to engage with. The use of Modern UI elements is nothing short of a joy to use.
To kick off the Windows Phone app, Scoopt is giving away £500 with £100 handed to the 10th, 20th, 30th, 40th and 50th person to place an order through the app. The contest starts today and n minimum order value is required.
