Save $50 on this Philips Hue 3-bulb starter kit and get your lighting just right
Black Friday might be a month away, but that hasn't stopped retailers from releasing some crazy good holiday savings now. For the first time in a while, Best Buy has started discounting smart lights again. You can get the Philips Hue multi-color A19 3-bulb starter kit on sale for just $139.99. That's $50 off its regular price. Similar kits are either out of stock completely or overpriced at other retailers. This is one of Best Buy's early holiday deals, so it's hard to say how long it will last. However, it's easy to say you won't get a better deal by waiting.
Start your smart home lighting scheme with this 3-bulb kit that also includes a smart dimmer switch. Since it has the hub you can keep adding more lights in the future. Plus it's all at a low price.
This complete starter kit includes the Philips Hue Hub that connects all your devices together, three multi-color smart bulbs, and a smart dimmer switch. You will need the Hub, as it's the best way to unite all of the devices in your kit plus any devices you might add in the future. Easily connect the Hub to your Wi-Fi network and the smart home ecosystem you already have for even more control. If you were to buy each component of this kit individually, it would cost you around $180 or more, so you're definitely saving by going for this bundle.
Getting the kit setup is pretty easy. You just need to replace some existing dumb bulbs with these A19 smart bulbs. The A19 shape is mostly designed for regular lamps and the lights you use the most (compared to say the BR30 bulb which is more designed for recessed lighting). With these bulbs, you'll be able to choose from 16 million color options, including different types of white lighting and brightness levels.
Once everything is installed, you can use the free app on your smartphone to add everything to the hub and your network and start controlling your new smart system. You can turn the lights on or off or control the color with a simple voice command using Amazon Alexa or another voice assistant. Each bulb is designed to last for over 25,000 hours as well, so you won't need to replace them anytime soon. And with the energy-saving LEDs, you'll save on your power bill, too.
