Save $400 on the Surface Pro X when you activate it at Best Buy today
Interested in the new Surface Pro X? Well, you can get one for $400 off when you activate the LTE service at Best Buy today. The Surface Pro X with 8GB RAM and a 256GB SSD is just $899.99 with this deal. The same configuration normally goes for $1,300, and you can find it going for that price at Microsoft. This is the only version on sale. Changing the RAM or storage will remove the savings. The deal is part of Best Buy's deals of the day, which means today's sale has a limited lifespan.
The Surface Pro X uses LTE Advanced Pro connectivity (in addition to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth), and that's what needs to be activated. You'll have the ability to choose between Verizon or AT&T at Best Buy or choosing to activate it later if you have another carrier in mind. The discount is the same no matter the choice you make.
Read our review of the Surface Pro X from a couple months ago, which gave it 4 stars out of 5. Daniel Rubino said the "Surface Pro X delivers the most exciting design for the Surface Pro yet" and added "for those who need a light, thin, LTE-enabled productivity laptop, the Surface Pro X offers a unique set of features not found anywhere else."
This configuration includes a 13-inch edge-to-edge touchscreen with 2880 x 1920 pixel resolution. It has 8GB RAM and a 256GB solid state drive. There is Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 4G LTE for connectivity. It's powered by the custom Microsoft SQ1 processor that delivers multitasking performance with an all-day battery life (up to 13 hours on a single charge).
This device is also super thin and lightweight. It's just 7.33mm thick and less than 1.7 pounds. The two USB-C ports give you the possibilities to connect to external displays, docking stations, or charge your accessories.
The deal does not include the keyboard or pen. The Surface Pro X keyboard with Slim Pen costs $269.99 by itself. Although you'd be better off buying them individually for $113 and $115 apiece. The pen can actually be stored securely in the keyboard and recharge at the same time.
