The SanDisk Extreme 2TB portable SSD has dropped to just $265 today only
Time to take some of your favorite media on the road. Grab the SanDisk Extreme 2TB portable NVMe solid state drive while it's on sale for $264.99 at Best Buy. This is one of Best Buy's featured deals of the day, so it's a safe bet the price will expire by tomorrow. You can also find this deal at Amazon where it's being price matched temporarily. This is an updated version of the SanDisk Extreme that has only been around since late last year, and today's deal is only maybe the third time it has dropped this low since its release. The drive sells for as much as $330 and more regularly around $300.
You can also get the 1TB version on sale for $149.99. That has been its normal price since early August.
Includes a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 interface for wide compatibility with USB-C devices like computers and smartphones. Has read/write speeds up to 1050 MB/s and 1000 MB/s thanks to the fast NVMe tech. Also IP55 rated for dust and water resistance.
As an SSD, this drive already has some fast transfer speeds. With NVMe tech, they get even faster. You can get read and write speeds up to 1,050 MB/s and 1,000 MB/s respectively. Plus the SSD uses a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 interface so help you take full advantage of those speeds. That's even an upgrade from the previous generation, which was only version 3.1. You get wide compatibility with USB-C so that the drive works with computers, smartphones, and more.
The other nice thing inherent to SSDs is no moving parts compared to a regular hard drive. That makes this gear very durable, so you don't have to worry about it getting banged up as your backpack swings around or whatever. The SSD is drop resistant, so it can slip out of your hands and fall up to two meters with you worrying that it might be damaged. It also has an IP55 rating, which means it has resistance to both dust and water. The silicon shell feels great while still protecting the internal drive, and you can use the carabiner loop to keep it secured to your purse, bag, or clothes.
SanDisk backs up this SSD with a five-year warranty.
