Samurai Shodown (or Samurai Spirits in Japan) is a fighting game that first released in 1993 and today, as part of Tokyo Game Show 2020, SNK announced that Samurai Shodown is coming to Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S this winter. This next-generation version of Samurai Shodown is coming exclusively to Xbox Series X and Series S for now. Producer Yasuyuki Oda stated that "The Xbox Series X|S is Microsoft's most innovative and cutting-edge next-gen console which is ramping up to hit the market soon, and I couldn't be more excited to be a part of its massive presence in the gaming community."
Samurai Shodown will presumably benefit from enhanced visuals due to the hardware of the new systems, though no exact details have been provided. The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S are set to release on November 10 and preorders are open right now.
