Ruiner will bring gritty cyberpunk action to Xbox One and PC with Xbox Play Anywhere

The steadily growing list of Xbox Play Anywhere titles just increased by one with Ruiner, a gritty cyberpunk shooter destined for Windows 10 and Xbox One. Check out the game's trailer below:

Ruiner developer Reikon Games promises not only a moody atmosphere, but also highly engaging gameplay. Here's a quick taste of what to expect from Ruiner, from Xbox Wire:

So, what is Ruiner? Basically, it's a top-down action shooter created in the spirit of cult-cyberpunk anime. Our fourfecta is exciting gameplay, compelling storyline, amazing graphics, and sound that immerses you in the experience. We picked our music very carefully and we're proud to have the tunes of artists such as Sidewalks & Skeletons and Natalia Zamilska in the game. Master Hirasawa Susumu's music is in Ruiner as well (it took us a year to sign him)!

From the sounds of things, Ruiner will offer plenty of action with little rest. The emphasis is on "dancing and dashing" around your enemies, taking them down in a quick, never-ending barrage. And if you stop moving, Reikon Games says, you're dead. Thankfully, you'll have plenty of help from things like your Energy Shield and Dash to environmental barriers to help you survive.

As an Xbox Play Anywhere title, you'll be able to buy the game once and play across both Windows 10 and Xbox One. There's no word on an exact release date for Ruiner, but the trailer points to a release sometime in 2017.
