- The RIG PRO Compact is unique in that it includes Dolby Atmos for headphones on Xbox Series X|S and Windows 10.
- Plug in a pair of headphones to the RIG PRO Compact and you can enjoy premium 3D audio through Dolby Atmos.
When the powerful Xbox Series X and efficient Xbox Series S were preparing for their eventful launch, Nacon unveiled a range of new controllers for the consoles. The RIG PRO Compact controller from that series is now rolling out in North America over the next week and boasts a compelling list of features and perks to convince players that this should be their next controller on Xbox and PC.
The RIG PRO Compact controller is, as the name suggests, a compact controller with a more condensed design. Officially designed for Xbox Series X|S, the PRO Compact is a wired controller with a 10-foot nylon braided cable, textured grips and thumbsticks, programmable options for button mapping, thumbstick sensitivity, trigger dead zones, and more, oversized buttons for comfort, and more. Already the PRO Compact looks like it could find its way onto our list of best controllers for Xbox Series X|S, but Nacon included another feature that makes the PRO Compact the first of its kind.
Nacon's RIG PRO Compact controller is the first controller to include full Dolby Atmos support for headphones. That means plugging the PRO Compact into your Xbox Series X|S or Windows 10 PC and downloading the Dolby Access app gives you premium 3D audio through headphones plugged into the 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom of the PRO Compact.
If you're interested in the RIG PRO Compact controller, it's now becoming available in black and white colorways in North America. It'll be interesting to see if this controller can stand toe-to-toe with the aggressive controller market. However, the inclusion of Dolby Atmos support right off the bat makes the PRO Compact pretty interesting.
A great controller with a great perk.
The RIG PRO Compact controller might already be good enough on its own with a compact design, customizable buttons, and a new Share button, but it goes a step beyond by including Dolby Atmos support for Xbox Series X|S and Windows 10.
