What you need to know
- The Razer Zephyr smart facemask will be back in stock on October 27, 2021 at 12 PM ET (9 AM PT).

Razer's Zephyr facemask quickly sold out when it launched on October 21, 2021. Razer released a second drop of the smart facemask quickly, but it sold out again. The company is making the Zephyr available once again on October 27, 2021 at 12 PM ET (9 AM PT). The facemask will likely sell out quickly, so anyone hoping to purchase one should set a reminder and check for stock right as it becomes available.
The Zephyr is a medical-grade facemask with N95 filters that feature two-way protection (for inhaling and exhaling). The mask has two air exchange chambers to let air flow in and out and has two 2-way speed fans for cooling and circulation. It's FDA-registered and lab-tested for 99% Bacterial Filtration Efficiency (BFE). Razer claims that its filters last three times longer than single-use disposable masks.
As is the case with many Razer products, the Zephyr features customizable Chroma RGB lighting. That lighting helps illuminate under the mask, which has a transparent front that allows people to see facial expressions.
To create a snug and comfortable fit, the mask has a soft silicone face seal on the front and a dual strap design on the back.
Masks became a necessity during the current global pandemic and continue to be an important way to protect people's health. In addition to protecting against airborne illnesses, masks help defend against pollution and allergens.
The $100 price was a surprise when announced earlier this month. The lower cost made the mask more accessible, at least in comparison to the expected cost of several hundreds of dollars.
