Rainbow Six Siege Shadow Legacy confirms Splinter Cell crossover adding Sam Fisher

Ubisoft has dropped the debut teaser for its next seasonal update headed to Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, confirming previous rumors of a Splinter Cell-themed crossover. The famed stealth agent, Sam Fisher, soon joins the playable Operator roster under the codename "Zero," preluding its upcoming unveiling scheduled for August 16. Everything we know about Operation Shadow Legacy indicates that in addition to Sam Fisher joining the Operators, the accompanying Battle Pass will be heavily themed on Splinter Cell cosmetics. This is also the first time that an operation will have added just one new Operator.
The full reveal for Operation Shadow Legacy is coming during the NA-Mini Major Finals on August 16. Based on this reveal date, the operation will likely release on September 8, though it could be a week later depending on the exact length of the Test Server Trials.
Other ambitious updates are in the future for Rainbow Six Siege, including Xbox Series X and PS5 support, alongside cross-play. These updates are almost certainly farther out and will likely coincide will the release of the next-generation consoles in Holiday 2020.
