Rainbow Six Siege 'Around The World' Battle Pass releases March 25
Ubisoft drops its second Rainbow Six Siege Battle Pass later this month.
What you need to know
- Ubisoft is preparing the next Battle Pass for Rainbow Six Siege, titled Around The World.
- The next Battle Pass features 50 unlocks across 35 tiers, split into free and paid tracks.
- The Around The World Battle Pass is set for a March 25, 2020 release date.
Ubisoft recently launched Operation Void Edge, its latest seasonal update for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. The newest expansion to the hit shooter brings two new playable Operators, Oryx and Iana, accompanied by the new Oregon rework, and a ton of quality-of-life improvements. The new season will also host the second-full fledged Battle Pass planned for Rainbow Six Siege, formerly teased under the moniker "Around The World."
The next Rainbow Six Siege Battle Pass offers further narrative threads, positioned as a new storytelling device outside of its competitive core gameplay. While featuring the return of the same 35-tier progression system laced with 50 exclusive rewards, Ubisoft also promises the further exploration of Operators and their backstories. Early teasers for Around The World suggest origins for Buck, Ash, and Dokkaebi, coupled with anime shorts as you progress.
Ubisoft has now outlined a planned release date for the next Rainbow Six Battle Pass, seemingly on track for just two weeks into Operation Void Edge. Speaking on its Void Edge launch livestream (as spotted by /u/Ali_khas on Reddit), Ubisoft communication specialist, Youssef Maguid, confirmed a scheduled March 25, 2020 release date. That falls in line with previous words from Rainbow Six Siege product director, Roy Del Valle, telling Windows Central the team gradually plans to launch future Battle Passes alongside its flagship updates.
Like Rainbow Six Siege's inaugural "Road to S.I. 2020" Battle Pass, its return will feature both Free and Premium tracks. Paid entry will provide an opportunity to unlock the full range of limited-time items, priced at 1,200 R6 Credits, with a 30 percent discount for Year 5 Pass holders.
In the meantime, Rainbow Six Siege Operation Void Edge is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. However, for access to new Operators Oryx and Iana today, you'll need the new Year 5 Pass.
The Year 5 Pass unlocks the game's next six Operators, alongside exclusive in-game gear, progression boosters, and much more. With Rainbow Six Siege's Operation Void Edge update just weeks away, it provides all you need for 2020.
