The R-Rated Batman v Superman Ultimate Edition launches digitally on June 28

Warner Bros will release the digital version of Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition on June 28. The R-rated version of the recent DC Comics super-hero movie contains about 30 minutes of footage not included in the theatrical release.

The announcement of the Ultimate Edition also comes with a new trailer that shows off some of that extra footage, including a look at actress Jena Malone's previously mysterious role in the movie. Batman v Superman Ultimate Edition will run a total of 182 minutes (yes, that's just over three hours) and the R-rating is for "sequences of violence". People who want to get the Blu-Ray disc version will have to wait a few more weeks until July 19.
