It's becoming a tradition at CES. Ben Rudolph (@BenThePCGuy), Retail Sales & Marketing Director at Microsoft, has thrown Dan, our Editor-in-Chief, to the ground yet again.
Ben has a black belt in Jiu Jitsu and was also a Krav Maga instructor. Dan is a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fan. So when Ben told us he was available to teach Dan a move at CES, we couldn't refuse to record it all on video.
As shown in the video, when someone is trying to choke you from the front, there are four things you should generally follow:
- Address the threat.
- Control the opponent
- Counter-attack
- Escape the situation
Ben Rudolph points out this isn't official self-defense training, and it doesn't substitute going to an actual school near you. Nevertheless, that was fun watching Dan get thrown to the ground. Make sure to watch last year's video if you missed it.
