At its Next @ Acer event today, Acer unveiled a new laptop that was built in collaboration with Porsche Design. The new Porsche Design Acer Book RS combines some powerful specs, including Intel's latest 11th Gen chips, with a unique, bold style.
The 14-inch Porsche Design Acer Book RS is built around an all-metal design, topped by a black carbon fibre cover. That's combined with a unibody hinge that elevates the laptop when open, which improves cooling performance and angles the keyboard to offer a more ergonomic typing experience. The whole package weighs 2.65 pounds and comes in at 0.63 inches thick.
Inside of the Porsche Design Acer Book RS, you'll get Intel's latest 11th Gen Core i5 and Core i7 chips powering the whole thing. That brings Intel's more powerful Iris Xe discrete graphics, but you can add optional NVIDIA MX350 discrete graphics for a little more horsepower.

Acer touts the color of the 14-inch 1080p display, which covers 100 percent of the sRGB color gamut and sports a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio, thanks to thin bezels. You'll also get USB-C, Thunderbolt 4, and USB 3.2 ports here, along with a fingerprint reader for Windows Hello logins. Quick charge is tagging along here as well, offering up to four hours of battery life on a 30-minute charge.
Along with the laptop, Acer and Porsche Design have created custom accessories meant to complement the Acer Book RS' design. Those include a wireless Bluetooth mouse accented with carbon fiber, along with a leather travel pouch that connects to a notebook sleeve with magnetic clasps.
There's no release date for the Porsche Design Acer Book RS yet. However, Acer plans to launch the laptop starting at $1,400. There will also be a "Premium Package" with the notebook, travelpack, and mouse available starting at $2,000. The travelpack with a mousepad, mouse, carrying pouch, and notebook sleeve will be available separately starting at $330.
