Poly and the Marble Maze is a challenging puzzle game that is available for Windows 10 Mobile and PC. The game tests your steady hand and patience by guiding a marble across tricky platform levels to gather gems and ultimately reach the exit flag. We enjoyed the game back when we first reviewed the game and it's no surprise that Poly and the Marble Maze has reached HERO App status.

Poly and the Marble Maze greets you with a colorful main menu that includes options to jump into gameplay, access the game's settings and upgrade to the premium version of the game ($2.49) that removes the ad support and gives your gem count a boost. You earn gems during the normal course of gameplay that gives you access to higher gaming levels. The boost in gems gets you those levels a little quicker.
Gameplay includes sixty gaming levels spread out across three worlds. The first few gaming levels are tutorial in nature, walking you through key gaming features. To move your marble, drag and hold anywhere on the screen to move your marble in any direction. Lift your touch on the screen to hit the brakes and stop your marble. If you tap the screen, the marble jumps.
Poly and the Marble Maze does have support for non-touch devices and utilizes keyboard or mouse controls. Directional arrows control the marble's movements and the spacebar serves as the jump button. Using a mouse, left click and move the mouse in the direction you want the marble to roll and right click to jump.
It does take a few games to get the hang of gaming controls and I would have liked to have seen an option to use tilt sensors to move your marble around.
The goal of Poly and the Marble Maze isn't terribly complicated. Each level starts you at a starting point and you have to guide the marble around a raised platform level collecting gems and eventually reaching the exit flag. You do not have to collect any gems to advance to the next gaming level, but you do have to collect a number of gems to unlock the next gaming world (a moot point if you pick up the premium version).
Gaming levels are a challenging mix of turns, jumps, ramps, moving sections of the platform and portals. It takes a delicate touch to move around the platform and avoid from falling off the edges. There is also the challenge of handling the multi-touch controls to time jumps just right and avoid overshooting a turn or miss-time a jump.
Poly and the Marble Maze is a free gaming title that is available for Windows 10 Mobile and PC, as well as Windows 8.1 Phones and PC.
Poly and the Marble Maze's platform levels have plenty of twists, turns and surprises to navigate across. Graphics are colorful with plenty of eye-appeal. All in all, the physics-based game is an entertaining and challenging choice when you have a little time to waste.
