Path of Exile kicks off closed beta on Xbox One
The closed beta for dark action role-playing game (ARPG) Path of Exile kicks off today on Xbox One.
Path of Exile is headed to Xbox One later this year, but anyone interested in checking out the game a little early can sign up for its closed beta now. This comes after Grinding Gear Games, the developer behind the game, has spent more than a year adapting the game for Xbox One.
Path of Exile serves up Diablo-esque gameplay, offering a mix of a dark fantasy atmosphere, deep character customization, crafted items and more. The game will be free to play on Xbox One, just as it is on PC. At the outset, the Xbox One version will also include all of the expansions that have been released for the game so far.
Path of Exile will also see enhancements on Xbox One X, taking advantage of its extra horsepower to bump up to 4K resolution.
There's no precise word on when the game will land on consoles, but a launch can't be too far off at this point. For now, you can sign up to participate in the closed beta, which runs for 3 weeks, at the Path of Exile website. You'll want to act quickly, however, as space is limited.
