OneNote gets new icon on Windows 10 and iOS
The march of the new icons continues.
Microsoft introduced a new look for its Office app icons late in 2018, and they've been slowly making their way out to users since. The latest app to see an icon overhaul is OneNote, which recently picked up its redesigned look on both Windows 10 and iOS (via OnMSFT).
You'll now find the refreshed icon, complete with a modern look that matches the other redesigns, in the start menu, on your home screen, and within the app itself.
In addition to the revamped look for its icon, OneNote on iOS also now supports the second generation Apple Pencil and has added "phrase search." Here's a look at the official release notes:
- Support for Apple Pencil (2nd Generation): Draw, handwrite, and mark up notes even faster by double-tapping your Apple Pencil to change drawing tools without interrupting your flow.
- Phrase Search: You can now use quotes around a phrase to search for that exact phrase instead of individual words.
You can check out the new icon on both Windows 10 and iOS now. Presumably, Android will see a similar update before too long as well.
