Next Forza Motorsport 7 legendary lap goes to Long Beach
The next weekly rivals event is a doozy, good or bad will depend on your outlook.
What you need to know
- The weekly legendary lap remembers a moment in the history of Forza 7.
- This week's, Hydra's Fury, looks back on a Forza RC race at Long Beach.
- Players will take on the iconic circuit in a stock spec Plymouth Fury.
The live content updates for Forza Motorsport 7 might well be over but there's still plenty going on in the game to keep racers occupied. One of the most recent additions is the Legendary Lap rivals event, where iconic moments from the Forza RC are brought back to life for everyone to enjoy. And the latest is a good one. Or a bad one.
"Hydra's Fury" will see players take to the full Long Beach circuit in a stock spec Plymouth Fury in pursuit of glory. The name refers to Forza RC driver, Hydra, and the unfortunate, meme-worthy moment he hit a wall in a Fury during an event and cost himself an almost guaranteed podium.
You can relive the history by checking out the official Forza stream from Monday, April 27. The rivals events are taking place weekly between Wednesday and Sunday and anyone who plays Forza 7 can have a go. The games leading professional drivers are all involved, so if you feel like proving yourself, there's no better competition.
Still kicking out challenges nearly 3 years on
Forza 7 is the longest-running of any of the Forza Motorsport titles on Xbox One but it's still kicking out new challenges while we wait for whatever's next.
