New RazerCare Elite plan covers accidental damage on laptops and phones

Last November, Razer launched its RazerCare Essential Protection Plan, offering extended repair coverage for its laptops and phones. At the time, there was one big thing missing as part of the plan: accidental damage protection.

Today, the company is rectifying that omission with a new tier of protection: RazerCare Elite.

With the elite plan, you'll still get the same included repairs by Razer-authorized center, free two-way shipping for repairs, coverage for mechanical and electrical failures, and more. Joining the mix is accidental damage protection, which includes drops, spills, falls, and collisions.

That additional protection comes at a pretty steep price, however. Here's how the plans break down across Razer's laptop and phone lineup for RazerCare Essential and Elite:

  • Blade Stealth 13 - $200 (Essential), $300 (Elite)
  • Blade 15 - $250 (Essential), $370 (Elite)
  • Blade Pro 17 - $300 (Essential), $450 (Elite)
  • Razer Phone 1 & 2 - $100 (Essential), $170 (Elite)

The launch of RazerCare Elite comes alongside the availability of the Blade 15 Advanced and fresh pink color options for the Blade Stealth and several peripherals. For more, you can check out the full details on RazerCare plans at the RazerCare website.
