What you need to know

  • The Tracer Comic Challenge event is now live in Overwatch.
  • Players can win matches and watch streamers to earn a player icon, sprays, and a new Tracer skin.
  • The event lasts until September 28, 2020.

The Tracer Comic Challenge event has officially gone live in Overwatch. The event is active on all platforms and lasts until September 28, 2020. It's based on the new Tracer comic series "London Calling," which had its first issue release on September 14.

During the event, players have an opportunity to earn a variety of cosmetic items including a player profile icon, a spray, and a new skin. The new skin in particular is the highlight, as it features Tracer dressed up in clothing covered in panels from the London Calling comic. To earn these, players will need to win matches in Quick Play, Competitive Play, or Arcade. The unlock tiers are as follows:

  • 3 Wins: Player Icon
  • 6 Wins: Spray
  • 9 Wins: Skin

Additionally, players can also earn an additional 6 sprays by watching Overwatch Twitch streamers for a specific amount of time. These sprays are reminiscent of action bubbles seen in many classic comic books. Here's how long you'll have to watch to earn them:

  • 2 Hours: 1 Spray
  • 4 Hours: 2 Sprays
  • 6 Hours: 3 Sprays

Overall, I think this event's rewards are awesome, especially that new skin. Let me know what you think in the comments.

Overwatch is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC for $30.
